Daniel Koonce

Haywood County, Tennessee

April 29, 1859

 

I Daniel Koonce do maker & publish this as my last will & testiment, hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First, I direct that my funeral expenses & my other debts be paid as soon after my death as pofisble out of any money that I may die pofefed of or may first come into the hands of my Executrix.

Secondly, I give & bequeath to my wife Nancy M. Koonce all of my property, to wit, all of my land & slaves, a man named Peter, a woman named Fily & child & all of my horses & Mules, Cattle, Hogs & Sheep & household & Kitchen furniture and all other property I may die pofefed of. My wife Nancy M. Koonce can give any of the above mentioned property to our children at any time she may think proper provided she gives to the children Equally.

Lastly, I do hereby nominate & appoint Nancy M. Koonce my Executrix. In witnefs where of I do to this my will Set my hand & Seal. This 29th day of April 1859, no security required of my wife.
