Welcome to:

The Vietnam War Photo Album

Begun in April of 1998, this site is dedicated to the American men and women who served their country in Vietnam; especially to the memory of the 58,202 that were killed there and their loved ones.*

To view the images in this site, simply click on a category from the list on the left. Thumbnail size photos will then appear in this frame.

Just click on the ones that you want to enlarge. To zoom out, click again.

That's all there is to it. The maximum enlargement width is set at 400 pixels.

The vast majority of these photos were taken by American servicemen. They were not professional photographers and their cameras would probably be considered primitive by todays standards. For the most part, the pictures are of people, places and things these men felt should be remembered.

Therefore, if you're hoping to find images of dismembered bodies or that sort of stuff, you've definitely came to the wrong place. Bye!

On the other hand: If you'd like to experience, if just for a little while, what was seen during the Vietnam war through our eyes, then we say, "Welcome!".

Most of these photos are self-explanatory and have very short (if any) captions.

Shoulder patches, Vietnam veteran's memorials and photos of general interest are located in the category, 'All Branches'.

Information and many photos pertaining to the 241 recipients of the Medal of Honor awarded during the Vietnam war era can also be found in the category, 'All Branches' or to view the list of names only, Click here.
