ALL textures on this website were created by me, and are free for use in ANY application. These make great backgrounds for web pages, desktops, and are also handy for use in graphic programs. (I created these textures for fills and painting in my graphics programs).
The first thing you NEED to know is that these are ALL HI-RES images. If you are browsing with AOL, you NEED to turn OFF the automatic graphic compressor to see them properly. You can do this by going to: "My AOL", then go to "Preferences", then go to "WWW". Now select the "Web Graphics" tab, un-check the use compressed graphics box and click the "Apply" button. After you have successfully done this, Reload this page and you'll notice a HUGE change in graphic quality. I do not know which other browsers have graphic compressors, but if the textures on this page do not look VERY crisp and almost 3D, you are viewing them in a compressed state and should investigate how to turn off your browser's graphic compressor so you can view these textures properly.
Pretty much all of the textures that you'll find here are very bright and colorful. In your search for backgrounds and textures on the web, I'm sure you've noticed the lack of outrageous textures! So this site is devoted to very bright and extremely colorful backgrounds and
I have purposely left these textures UN COMPRESSED to ensure their quality. I have limited each page in this website to 20 different textures, so the page loading time shouldn't be too bad...:)
These textures are distributed freely, just please make sure you download them to YOUR hard drive, DO NOT link directly to the graphics! (Right click...Save as..., you know the drill... :)
