| Mission Statement: | I teach because I love music and the idea of sharing my passion with my students. A key factor in my relationship with my students, both adults and children, is my respect for the individual and for his/her desires and natural inclinations. I believe that the goal of music is its potential function as an expressive medium to give happiness to yourself and to others. The bounds of music are never finite, and it is my hope that I too may learn and grow alongside my students. I place emphasis on the student bearing responsibility for his/her own practice, and I expect my students to take their musical work seriously. That being said, I want my students to love their music, and I will work with each student individually to nurture this passion. Communication is of great importance. I want my students to always feel comfortable enough to communicate with me about any concerns they may have. I invite my students to call or email me, at any time, if they have questions or concerns in their practicing. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary meeting and consultation.

Studio Policy Overview: (Please note that this is not a comprehensive studio policy. You will receive a complete version at our first meeting.) | Lessons are scheduled regularly September through June (students may be accepted into the studio at any time). A summer session may be offered.
Lessons will take place at my studio in Los Angeles, near The Grove.
I only accept entering students within the age range of 4 through 17. Once in the studio, they may continue their studies through any age (e.g. students entering the studio at age 17 may remain in the studio as adults).
Students will have a regular time slot each week to facilitate planning of other activities (on both ends). Occasional rescheduling is permitted.
Make-up lessons will be given if cancellations take place at least 24 hours prior to the lesson time. Time lost as a result of the student's tardiness will not be credited.
I am willing to devote my time and extra efforts to helping my students progress to the best of their ability. Therefore, I expect that students can and will practice outside of lesson time. |
| Payment Policy: | Tuition will be, on average, $40-$50 per hour for incoming students. This may vary in accordance with skill level and other factors. Discounts are available to students paying in six-month increments (as opposed to the usual monthly payments). Family discounts may also be available on a case-by-case basis. I will notify you of your tuition costs prior to beginning your lessons.
Tuition for each month is due by the first day of the respective month (i.e. tuition for May is due on May 1st). Late fees will be added to the following month's tuition. |
