If Amy Lynn is known for anything, it has to be the strong fragrances of their candles.  They have an effective website with a brief story of how the company started.  Their candles are relatively inexpensive although they don’t have a lot fragrances to choose from.  The Cinnamon candle was strong but not overpowering, it fragranced the entire first floor of my home.  The Hot Apple Pie candle was spicy, a perfect fragrance for Autumn or Winter.  Hawaiian Treat was another one of their “secret blends” and I understand why they want to keep it that way… if it gets out everyone would copy it.  I was able to detect pineapple though the other scents are still a mystery, this is one of my all time favorite scents and I will purchase again.  The candles were all great with excellent burn times, but it would be nice if the containers had lids.

Yankee Candle Company is a popular organization that pretty much has it all.  They have great candles, a wide variety of fragrances, multiple retail locations, fair prices and a great website.  Their 22oz candle comes in an apothecary jar with a lid, and can easily fragrance a medium sized room.  The Pineapple Paradise candle had a sweet fragrance but was not as strong as the other two.  Cinnamon was a warm fragrance and is great for winter.  Finally, the Hot Apple Pie candle smelled like it was fresh out of the oven.  Over all Yankee offers a well rounded product and an endless number of options.

This one was too close to call, so it ends in a tie.  While Amy Lynn’s Fragrances are unparalleled, they need more options.  And Yankee Candle makes a well rounded candle with no down falls worth mentioning.  These particular candles are comparably priced though in smaller containers Amy Lynn’s are less expensive.  I recommend you test these for yourselves to determine the true winner, if there is one.  If you would like more information on either of these companies, visit their respective websites.
