When I think of Amy Lynn’s Candles, the first thing that comes to mind is the fragrances.  Their candles are loaded with some of the best scents around.  As a matter of fact some candles are so strong, they can fragrance a room when they are not even lit.  The Lavender candle smelled more like the essential oil then the flower.  Their Pumpkin Pie was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, a great fall fragrance.  Of the three fragrances I sampled, Jamaican Breeze was my favorite by far.  It’s described as a secret blend of fruity ingredients on their website, but the secret is out… this fragrance is fabulous!  The candles had a great burn time and the containers were nice although they did not have lids.  Overall these are great candles with an affordable price.

Illuminations is a popular candle company and for good reason, they have great candles.  A wide range of fragrances, nice containers and packaging with great service and multiple locations is their recipe for success.  Their candles had about a 50-hour burn time and came in attractive frosted containers with lids.  Their Pumpkin Pie candle had a warm, fresh baked fragrance and Pear was smooth and refreshing.  The Spa Lavender Fields candle left a lot to be desired, it was weak and did not fragrance a large room.  Over all their candle’s fragrance seemed to fade by the day and the price $14.99 seemed too expensive for what I got.

All things considered, Amy Lynn wins a close one.  Their fragrances left a lasting impression with a price that can’t be beat.  For now, they have a limited number of fragrances but they are adding more constantly.  Since they don’t have a physical location there is no way to sample their fragrances.  But they have a cute, effective website and their candles are hand poured with a lot of love.
