I have created this website to help others like myself. The night before my evaluation at the mental health clinic, I searched the Internet for some solace. Finding others online and reading what they went through helped comfort me more than I can say. I made a decision to create a website chronicling my recovery, progress, setbacks, and life as a self-injurer. It is my hope to reach other SIers and let them know they are not alone and that they can seek help, and win.
Please use the links below to read of my life as a self-injurer and to learn more about this problem. If you are a recovering self-injurer, as myself, I am sure you know of the uncomfortableness of trying to explain your scars to those who don't understand. The first step to helping those that still self-injure and those just beginning is to spread awareness. By creating websites or contributing your stories to other self injury websites we are doing this. Please, if you know someone that self-injures, or have never heard of this phenomenon before....read on. You will also be able to find more information on Self Injury and get in touch with other SIers through the forums and resources.
