| Update: May 2007: Alydar has had a busy past two months. In April, Alydar attended his first lure coursing trials and earned his Junior Courser title. In May, he won Winners Dog at the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States National Specialty and soon after earned his Senior Courser title. Our next endeavor will be the obedience ring! This amazing puppy comes to Bleu Springs from breeders Susan Short of Special Acres Ibizan Hounds and Lisa Puskas of Paradise Ibizan Hounds. Alydar has the sweetest temperament and the most comical personality. He greets everyone with a waggy tail and soft kisses! Some of his favorite acitivities include pulling Manchester tails, fetching tennis balls, leading Manchesters down the sidewalk by their leashes and chasing leaves. Outside the show ring, Alydar has already done some neat things! In September '05 he helped to promote AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day along with other members of the AKC family by appearing on the CBS Morning Show, he participated in Meet the Breeds, representing the Ibizan Hound at the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day flagship event in New York City, he co-starred in a news segment about breeds that are good with children and has been photographed for the AKC breed archives. In January '06, Alydar appeared on ESPN2 to promote the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. In February, Alydar had his first dog show. He won a point towards his championship and earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen title all in one day! |
