| Daycentre for disabled people The town Hust is just over the border of Hungary. In the past year the neighbourhood of Hust was also hit by the heavy flood. A lot of people lost their houses. They're working very hard now to rebuild everything, but because of lack of money it's going very slowly. The unemployment in the country is 80% and if you have a job you don't earn much: on average $40.22 a month. The harrowing image you see, are people who are trying to sell their possessions on the market or on the streets, so that they can buy food. People who can't work at all because they are disabled, are extra hard pressed, because there are no social services. That's why the local church has asked World Servants to help building a daycentre for intellectual and physical disabled people. (age: 30+) |
