          He married Sophia [BORCHERS].  Sophia [BORCHERS] was born in 
          1836 in Prussia.
          
          They had the following children:
          
           2         i. Heinrich BORCHERS was born on 30 Dec 1857.  Died 
                        on 29 Sep 1879 in Fredericksburg TX [Gillespi 
                        Co].
           3        ii. Maria BORCHERS was born in 1861.
           4       iii. Auguste BORCHERS was born in 1866.
           5        iv. Wilhelmine BORCHERS was born in 1869.
