Introduction

    This treatise was written to help all exiles understand more about the race of people known as the Zo. It was also written so that the memory of the Zo homeworld of Ghorak would not fade away.
    Through years of careful research, it pulls together everything that is known about the Zo. It is the most definitive text there is on the race.
    The Zo are a much maligned race partly because of their involvement in the Uli Rebellion. But mainly because, of all the races on Shan Deral, they are the only immigrants and therefore the most alien.
    In 233 AE, an army of 10,000 Zo came across a portal (or "mirror" as it is called on Shan Deral) from the land of Ghorak in the expectation of meeting little resistance from the Emperor's armies. They were equipped with the latest weapons technology they could muster. What they found was defeat at the hands of the Dark Sentinels as their guns failed to work on a world where mystical laws subjugated laws of physics and science. After the portal was shut, the Zo left behind on Shan Deral have been seeking their place in the land of the Ascendancy, some more successfully than others.
    The author hopes that, with the contribution of this piece of work, perhaps some day the Zo will find full acceptance among all the people of Shan Deral.
