Other Trips I've Made around the World

Created December, 1997

  • This is from my 1995 European trip. I stood in front of an Amsterdam canal which I cannot even name. Amsterdam is one of my Top 10 favorite cities in the world.
  • I worked in a volunteer camp in Berlin for more than 3 weeks (see 1995 European trip). I did enjoy that city a lot. This is on Unter den Linden, the most important thouroufare in East Berlin. In the background is Berlin Cathedral and TV Tower.
  • After Berlin, I traveled to Dresden, another important city in the former East Berlin. This is me standing in front of the Zwinger Palace. Most of Dresden was under construction and very dusty then.
  • From the same trip in 1995, I was also in Barcelona. This is the famous "Cathedral of Saint Family" (forgot what its Spainish name is)
  • In 1994, my most memorable trips were both to Canada. The summer one to Ontario and the spring one to Quebec. This is me in front of Niagara Fall in June, 1994. Right after I graduated from Harvard.
  • This is from my 'spring trip' to Quebec City in March, 1994. It didn't feel like spring at all (see these snow?). The background building is the landmark of Quebec City - Chateau Frontanec.
  • I traveled to Orlando with my parents in summer 1993. This picture was taken in MGM studio. Disney World is really fun, but it is just too far from reality. I prefer Europe.......
  • The same summer in 1993, before Florida, I in fact traveled to Europe for 11 weeks. This was my first backpacking trip to Europe. This picture was taken in front of Le Grand Casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco (the second smallest country in the world).
  • Also from summer 1993 European trip, this is the Dachau concentration camp outside of Munich. The movie "Bent" is based here. It's a horrow experience to visit there.....
  • This was taken in a fjord in Norway. It's really beautiful, isn't it? (no, I mean beside me, the also SCENERY is beautiful!)
