27 July 2007. This website is dedicated to all of my ancestors who came to the southern Illinois and southern Indiana area from parts east, such as North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Just about all of my ancestors came from this same area and settled in White County, Illinois, and in Posey, Warrick, Gibson, Pike and Vanderburgh counties in Indiana.

It is with great pleasure that I am able to present these pages to all of the descendants of these families, my cousins, both known and unknown. Please note, however, that while I have attempted to include proven facts, not everything in my database is proven. Much of what I have here has been gleaned from other researchers, with whom I have no aquaintance other than online, and I am, therefore, unable to offer PROOF that what they have found is actually true. What I have proven, through my own research, I have documented with source citations. Where there is no source citation, please use the information as only clues.
