More information is needed on the following people and families to determine where they might fit on the ARLEDGE family tree. Those marked with # have usually been identified as black or African American in a census record or other document; if this is accompanied by a small “m” it generally means that in an least one document they are identified as “mulatto.” An asterisk (*) means I don’t know for sure who the parents are. To help me with identification, I may have placed some geographical information in brackets in the middle of their names.
