I'm a basketweaver who makes handmade baskets, mostly country baskets. I sell baskets from home and online. All baskets seen here are handwoven by me; Deb. Most are my own creations but some are patterns from other basketweavers.
Some baskets have colored accents; choice of color will be listed under the basket photo. Custom orders are welcome and gladly filled when time permits.
My first basket was made in June of 1993.I was first a member of Land of Lincoln Basketweaver's Association (LLBWA) back in the Spring of 1995. I also did craft shows to sell not only my baskets but my other crafts. I retired from craft shows. I plan on creating baskets again, making quilts, soaps, candles, crocheted dish clothes, a few stuffed animals and other items as well.
I have been teaching basket classes since 1995. Not teaching at this time. Gone fishing!!!
I have made Nantucket baskets, Twill, wicker, Antler baskets, willow baskets and reed baskets. Made some of my own patterns also.
I've made over 600 baskets to date and my goal is to reach 1000!
Note: To Diana Conness of Ottawa: I know of a Conness in Ottawa; related by marriage, that is a fly fisherman! Probably is your brother!? Jim is a great guy!
UPDATE: I have joined the ranks! I now fly fish and LOVE it! I also took up making flies! And found a new hobby!! Nothing like catching fish on your own flies!
Busy being a Grandmother at the present time. Have been restored with my love of fishing. Which I have been doing since I was 5 years old!
God Bless all of you! Thanks for signing the guestbook!
