Once Maple Syrup has been opened you should store it in the refridge to preserve freshness. If mold does occur, skim mold off top and bring contents to a rolling boil, and the syrup will be fine. There is no need to discard this high quality Maple Syrup.

A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT
OUR MAPLE SYRUP

The history of the community of Freedom N.H. and Porter ME. go back a very long ways. The original settlers of Porter were from New Hampshire and the little Union church in Porter was given to the village and brought over by oxen and sled in the late 1800's. Presently the Fire Departments work closely together provinding mutual aid for one another.

What started as a hobby has now turned into a small family run business (the sap house is located aprox. 800' off route 25 just turn at the Porter Country Store) located in Porter, Maine just off the state line of New Hampshire, which has given us a wonderful opportunity to select very special trees from both states (Maine & New Hampshire) to provide you with this wonderful maple syrup.

I believe the quality and grade to be the very best in keeping with the history of these two communities. We strive to have nothing but the purest all natural maple syrup.
