Well....How many people do you know that make pipe organs for a living?Yes the big churchy ones!Well im one of those!It is a very skilled job and is very rewarding also!My company is one of the leading companies in this field,and have made organs all over the world!we also maintain some very important instruments..ie..St Pauls cathedral,Canterbury cathedral.etc..And this year we won the Queens award for enterprise..And luckily i was chosen to represent my company at Buckingham Palace and be personally introduced to the Queen herself!And i can tell you the party afterwards was well....if i can remember!!very good!the food and copius amounts of wine has blurred my memories..no really...it was a real proud moment for my company...and if i may add, myself also.
Then we had HRH. the Duke of Kent come to our workshops to present the actuall award!
Again after his tour and meet and greet our staff,we tucked into some fine food and again copius amounts of wine and champagne.
Here's for winning more awards!
At present we are currently restoring the mighty organ at the "Royal Albert Hall"which when completed(early 2004)will be the largest organ in the uk!! |
