every year as most of you know i take a trip to the dominican republic. we have about 10 months till i go again and i would love to get all of you involved. every year we take school supplies, clothes, toys, and bibles to these VERY needy kids. if we all work together we can make a difference in the lives of these people hundreds of miles away.
I know that everyone enjoys their telephones, computers, showers, bed, junk food, and bibles. Electricity, runnning water, furniture, food and the gospel are things that these people do not have. These kids faces light up when you give them a small peice of gum. They are so appreciative. In the past we have taken each child a bad with paper, pencils, glue, scissors, erasers, toothbrushes and tooth paste, soap, and some candy. this past year we took every child an outfit along with ribbons, combs, underwear and even 80 pair of flips flops. the only thing that limits us is space, and that is even becoming less of a problem. This year i would love to be able to take every child a bag of nice things, and among those, a childrens bible, of course in spanish, the best thing we could give them. Also we could hand write something in spanish to each of them, and our care from the us could be sent to them in the dr in a very personal way. i would love to see every child get a toy, candy, and some school supplies. more details later but please give me some ideas and feedback on what i have said
