เพลง Delilah มีเนื้อร้องเป็นแนว Drama ขับร้องโดย Tom Jones
นักร้องชาว Wales เมื่อปี 1968   ชื่อเพลง Delilah ทำให้แต่แรก
หลงเดาไปว่า เป็นเพลงเกี่ยวกับ Delilah ที่เป็นหญิงคนรักของ
จอมพลัง Samson แต่ครั้นได้ฟังท่วงทำนอง จังหวะ และเสียงร้อง
ที่ค่อนข้างรุนแรงของเพลง ทั้งยังมีการกล่าวถึงมีดฟังดูน่าหวาดเสียว
ทำให้อยากติดตามว่าเรื่องราวเป็นอย่างไร

เรื่องมีอยู่ว่า หญิงที่ชื่อ Delilah ที่กล่าวถึงในเพลงสวมเขาให้คนรักเก่า
(ซึ่งก็น่าจะเป็นสามี เพราะในเพลงบอกว่า She was my woman)
เขาสุดจะทนเห็นภาพบาดตาบาดใจจากเงาไหวๆของเธอกับชายชู้
ที่หน้าต่าง ในเช้าวันรุ่งขึ้น หลังจากที่ชายชู้ขับรถออกไปแล้ว
เขาจึงเข้าไปแทงเธอด้วยมีดที่ถืออยู่ในมือ เหมือนเรื่องรักหึงหวง
ในนิยาย น้ำเน่าไม่มีผิดเลย!!!   มีประโยคต่างๆที่น่าสนใจ และชวนให้
จินตนาการตีความต่อเนื่องไปได้อีก เช่น

ผมคอยอยู่จนกระทั่งชายคนนั้นขับรถออกไปตอนรุ่งเช้าจึงข้ามถนนไปที่บ้านของเธอ
อาจเป็นไปได้ว่าเขาคงซุ่มรอดูอยู่ตลอดคืน จนเมื่อเห็นเธอเปิดประตูออกมา
ด้วยอารมณ์เบิกบาน (เพราะชายชู้เพิ่งจากไป) เขาจึงสุดจะระงับความโกรธแค้น
จึงจ้วงแทงเธอ ตามที่เล่าในประโยคต่อไปว่า

เธอกำลังยืนหัวเราะอยู่ตรงนั้นผมแทงเธอและเธอไม่สามารถหัวเราะได้อีกต่อไป
เธออาจจะหยุดหัวเราะเพราะตกตะลึงที่เห็นเขามาพร้อมมีดในมือ
หรืออาจเพราะถูกแทง ส่วนจะตาย หรือไม่นั้นเนื้อร้องไม่ได้บอกไว้
บอกแต่เพียงว่า เขาได้แต่ฟูมฟายพร่ำรำพันขออโหสิต่อเธอว่า
