Set a trap, they're not to blame
"Come to visit us" they kept demanding
And he really came

เมื่อ ราชินี Alexandra ขึ้นสำเร็จราชการแทน Tzar Nicholas ที่เสด็จไปบัญชาการรบในสงครามโลกครั้งที่หนึ่ง
พระนางเชื่อฟัง Rasputin ทุกอย่าง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการแต่งตั้งหรือปลดผู้ใด สร้างความไม่พอใจแก่เหล่าขุนนาง
จึงได้วางแผนสังหารเขา โดยเจ้าชาย Feliks Yusupov และพรรคพวกแห่งสภา Duma ซึ่งเชิญเขาไปงานเลี้ยง
ล่อหลอกว่าจะให้พบกับชายาผู้เลอโฉมของเจ้าชาย    เขาถูกหลอกให้กินอาหารและดื่มไวน์เจือไซยาไนด์
ปริมาณมากขนาดที่สามารถฆ่าคนสิบคนได้ และยังถูกกระหน่ำยิงแต่ก็ไม่ตาย จึงถูกจับมัดและทุบตี
แล้วทิ้งลงในแม่น้ำ Neva ซึ่งเย็นจัดจนกลายเป็นน้ำแข็ง

ยังมีเกร็ดตำนานอ้างว่า เจ้าชาย Feliks Yusupov ซึ่งเป็นเกย์ พยายามจะข่มขืนเขาไม่สำเร็จ
จึงตัดอวัยวะเพศของเขาซึ่งมีขนาดยาวถึง 13 นิ้วทิ้ง ซึ่งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2004 มีข่าวจาก Mos News
รายงานว่าคลีนิคแห่งหนึ่งชื่อ Museum of Erotica ได้โชว์อวัยวะเพศของ Rasputin ด้วยความภาคภูมิว่า
แน่กว่าพิพิทธภัณฑ์ในสหรัฐอเมริกาที่โชว์ของ Napoleon Bonapart ซึ่งมีขนาดเล็กนิดเดียว
แต่จะใช่ของแท้ของ Rasputin หรือไม่นั้น ไม่มีหลักฐานยืนยัน

เพลง Rasputin เป็นเพลงแบบ Disco เขียนโดย Frank Farian และขับร้องโดยคณะ Boney M เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1978
เนื้อเพลงเป็นการเล่าประวัติของ Rasputin ในแง่ของความมีอำนาจลึกลับของเขา และความเป็นนักรักที่ยิ่งใหญ่
รวมทั้งการยิงสังหารเขาจนตาย เคยมีเพลงไทยซึ่งแปลเนื้อเพลงนี้ออกมา และใส่ทำนองเดียวกันลงไป
น่าเสียดายที่ไม่สามารถหามานำเสนอได้

เรื่องของ Rasputin ยังมีเกร็ดเล็กเกร็ดน้อยสนุกๆ ตำนานเล่าขาน และข้อถกเถียงที่แตกต่างกันอีกมากมาย
ซี่งหากนำมาเสนอในที่นี้จะยืดยาวจนเกินไป
