และ Tom Jones ได้นำมาขับร้องเมื่อปี 1966  เนื้อเพลงเริ่มด้วย
การบรรยายสภาพของสถานที่  ภูมิประเทศ คนใกล้ชิด และ
บรรยากาศเก่าๆของบ้านเกิด นับตั้งแต่ก้าวลงจากรถไฟ พบพ่อแม
่มารอรับอยู่ และหญิงคนรักวิ่งมาตามทาง แลเห็นผมสีทองและ
ปากสีแดงเหมือนลูกเชอร์รี่แต่ไกล  ทุกๆคนยิ้มแย้มยินดีที่ได้พบเขา  
บ้านหลังเก่าก็ยังคงอยู่เช่นเดิม แม้ว่าสีจะแห้งกะเทาะไปบ้างตามกาลเวลา  
ต้นโอ๊คเก่าแก่ ที่เคยป่ายปีนเล่นเมื่อครั้งยังเยาว์วัยก็ยังอยู่ตรงนั้น  ทำให้เขา
เกิดความรู้สึกว่า

เนื้อเพลงตอนท้ายเป็นเสียงพูดบรรยายว่า  เขาตื่นขึ้นและมองไปรอบๆตัว  
พบแต่ผนังสีเทาทะมึนทั้งสี่ด้าน จึงรู้ว่า แท้ที่จริงแล้ว เขาแค่หลับฝันไป
