References (From FanFic's and other ramblings.)
On John's debut album, Room for Squares, there are 13 tracks, but, if you look on the back cover, it goes from 12 to 14. Well, when John was finished recording the album, there were a total of 13 songs. The people at Columbia told him, "Oh, that'll give you bad luck, go in a record one more song." But, thing was, John felt that the album was done and didn't want to have to write and record an extra song, so he, being the genius he is, decided to just make track 13 track 14 instead.
As a result, I decided to sort of copy him and skip chapter 13 and just say it was chapter 14.
It's all for John. I will probably try to pull off more of his quips and sayings, and wind up explaining myself the way I am now. Forgive me, love, I just can't help myself. (You guys catch that? J )
Also, there are probably some hints at Buffy the Vampire Slayer references in there somewhere…(Ch.11's "Random girl" for example…"Destructo girl, that's me") but those are not my fault. It was the lingo…I got caught up in it…so if I say "wigging" or any type of spawn of that word, I was young and impressionable. And SMG is my idol…so that should explain it…for the most part anyway.
The list below is just something I decided to do to keep up with what songs I was quoting and what chapter I used it for. So, at your disposal, here are the songs I used, in order of the chapters:
