White Dorper sheep are hardy, adaptable, do not require shearing and have gentle dispositions allowing for easy care. They are well-muscled meat type hair sheep that grow and mature rapidly and have exceptional reproduction rates and mothering ability. Dorper and White Dorper differ only in color. The Dorper has a white body with a black head and the White Dorper is solid white. We prefer and raise White Dorper.
In 2000 we purchased our first White Dorper male and started raising Dorper Katahdin crosses. Now we have purebred White Dorper and 3/4 White Dorper ewes and are breeding to a 7/8ths male. We are located in Central Texas near Waco. Our farm is small so we raise a limited number of lambs.
