| Don has coordinated many instrumental workshops; Teaching bodhran, penny whistles, flute and folk guitar styles, either as a solo performer or in collaboration with other musicians. Students learn a few tunes, the difference in types of tunes, the basic rhythmic elements within the musical notation, various instrumental techniques for folk playing and some tricks for ornamentation. Intermediate players gain an active forum for skill development beginners recieve an introduction to the basics. Each session ends with a group performance. It is a fantastic opportunity to experience live music, ensemble playing and the joy of performance! Workshops are tailored to the individual needs of festivals and schools. | |
