Our association has been around for close to 50 years. We are not affiliated with Westmoreland County in fact we have members from surrounding counties too! Our goal, or "mission statement" would be fellowship, knowledge, and helping charitable causes, equine and otherwise deserving.

In the past couple of years we have been benefactors for a number of charities including: Meals on Wheels, Pegasus Foundation (foundation dedicated to adoption of cast off Premarin foals), Hearts for Horses (handicapped riding program), Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department, Flight 93 Memorial, and Action for Animals. In the past our other charities have included: American Cancer Society, Adelphoi Village, and Parkinson's Research.

We have several fundraisers throughout the year, gun tickets, jewelry bash, strip tickets and our annual show. Our "fiscal" year usually ends with our show and at that time is when we make our donations. Unless, of course, our assistance is needed throughout the year. We have several events in the planning for late summer and fall. Our picnic and Christmas party are always nice!

Our membership numbers are down at this time and we are looking for some new faces! We would like to perhaps get involved in having clinics, speakers, and maybe even an auction. But, we need more bodies to help with these events! You don't have to be a show person, or even a horse owner! As long as you share a passion for horses - we welcome you!

We meet the third Tuesday of every month at Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, time of meeting is 8:00 pm in summer (so we can ride) and 7:30 pm in the winter (to get home before old man winter does his nasty!)
