The scope of Advisory Group B2.04 covers the power transfer rating of  transmission lines under steady, unsteady or transient states.  The calculation methods used are either deterministic or probabilistic.  Documents either existing or under development include:
  • Real time monitoring and line rating
  • Conductor electrical resistance
  • Ageing of conductors and joints
  • Sag-tension calculations
  • High Temperature Conductors
  • Uprating of existing lines
  • Voltage uprating
