***LILLIAN AXE: New Orleans Show To Be Filmed For Upcoming DVD***

New Orleans rockers LILLIAN AXE have issued the following update:

"On December 13, 2008 in New Orleans, Lousiana; at the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Howlin' Wolf Club, LILLIAN AXE will be filming their performance in high definition with seven cameras. It is quite possible that this concert, with all the cool backstage footage and antics with Derrick, Eric, Ken, Sam and Steve along with their great road crew, will be released on DVD and will be included as an added value in their new upcoming CD scheduled to be released in the spring of 2009, as a 'thank you' to all the loving fans that have never stopped supporting LILLIAN AXE and continue to believe in the dream of a lifetime.

"We are asking all the LILLIAN AXE fans to come to our show and be filmed alongside LILLIAN AXE. Purchase your tickets early because this show is going to sell out. C'mon down and see two of the greatest bands to come out of New Orleans, LILLIAN AXE and the legendary ZEBRA.

"The Howlin' Wolf 20th anniversary concert featuring ZEBRA and LILLIAN AXE is being brought to you by Bayou 95.7."

LILLIAN AXE recently begun pre-production in Louisiana on its new album, tentatively titled "Sad Day On Planet Earth". Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Ignite", "Jesus Wept", "A Cold Day In Hell" and "Hibernate". An early 2009 release is expected.

On August 31, LILLIAN AXE, hit the stage in 100-degree-plus Texas heat to perform for close to 3,000 screaming fans from all over the United States that came out early to see the boys rock hard at the Rock The Bayou festival in Houston. LILLIAN AXE treated the fans to 44 minutes and 57 seconds of pure LILLIAN AXE. Guitarist Steve Blaze, battling the heat, blistered the fans with his interpretation of the national anthem.

LILLIAN AXE's first new studio LP in nearly fifteen years (and first for the Metro City Records label), "Waters Rising" was released on July 17, 2007.

***KISS Vinyl Figurines Due Next Summer***

KISS' official web site, KissOnline.com, has been updated with black-and-white sketches (see below) of the new KISS vinyl figurines from licensee Mediacom. The company is planning to release these figurines in the summer of 2009.

In a recent interview with The Brody Blog, KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley confirmed plans for the group to hit the studio to record a new studio CD. "The [recently completed 35 Alive tour] gave us the sense that, well, let's hit the studio again and make a new album. So that's in the works now." he said.

Paul Stanley's new DVD, "One Live Kiss", sold 6,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 3 on the Top Music Videos chart.

***SEBASTIAN BACH Working On Full-Length Country Album***

Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has issued the following update:

"Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee! We have been completely ensconced in the studio here for the last week, woodshedding in a big way, writing and demoing our asses off. I am happy to say that the writing team of Jeffrey Steele, Vicky McGehee, and myself, the team that brought you 'Battle With The Bottle', have been been locked in Jeffrey's studio, with our intention being to come up with a full album sometime in the near future.

"Since the ending of 'Gone Country 2', we now have between 10 and 15 songs 'under construction,' and we will not stop writing/demoing until we all feel we have a killer record. We all love the song 'Battle With The Bottle', but that is only the beginning. We are in the midst of assembling a whole new 'team' down here in Nashville that will be able to bring a song to the radio, which we did not have at the time of filming 'Gone Country 2'.

"Hey, you don't have to ask me twice to make music!

"I am so very fortunate to have met Jeffrey and Vicky, and the songs we are working on now are truly new and fresh for me as a musician. I really can't wait for all of you to hear this stuff! Here is a little taste [see video below]."

Host John Rich tapped Sebastian Bach as the winner of the second season of CMT's hit series, "Gone Country", in the September 26 season finale. Bach immediately released "Battle With The Bottle" to radio, the song he penned with Nashville songwriters Jeffrey Steele and Vicky McGehee while taping the series. The song is produced by John Rich.

Bach, who edged out tough competition from fellow "Gone Country" contestants Mikalah Gordon, Jermaine Jackson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lorenzo Lamas and Sean Young, performed his song before a live audience at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon in the show's finale. In the end, Rich dubbed Bach the winner because of his ability to connect to his audience and his lyrics, something that is essential in country music.

Sebastian Bach will "jam" with John Rich and Cowboy Troy on December 10 and December 11 in Las Vegas at the Hilton Theatre.

***TWISTED SISTER: New York City DVD Screening Announced***

On November 18, TWISTED SISTER releases "Live At The Astoria", a special twin-disc CD/DVD that marks the first commercially released, uncensored TWISTED SISTER concert in over 25 years. This very special concert was taped in London in 2004, and is hailed by critics as the band's greatest live triumph in its 35-year career

The band is hosting an intimate DVD screening party on Friday, November 21 at Webster Hall (not in the main space, but in the room on the ground floor, just after you enter the venue) in New York City from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The classic lineup of Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda, Mark Mendoza and A.J. Pero will be in attendance, and there will be drink specials from Jägermeister.

The event is open to the general public. Admittance is $5, or free if you say the password: Live @ The Astoria. Admittance is subject to venue capacity.

As previously reported, TWISTED SISTER will take part in a signing session at J&R Music, located at 23 Park Row in New York City, on Friday, November 21 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Commented guitarist Jay Jay French: "Recorded in London, in August 2004, the critics hailed TWISTED SISTER's performance as one of their greatest ever. If you're an SMF, and have wondered what TWISTED SISTER thought about any of their live shows throughout their 35-year history, you should know this: while certain bandmembers remember certain shows, and relate tales of particular performances as being their favorite, rarely does the band universally agree that any particular show is about as good as it gets. I can say this without hesitation or ambiguity: each bandmember considered that night to be amongst the most special of our careers. This concert was filmed and kept in a vault for the past four years. When the band had the opportunity to look at the footage, it brought back the heat, passion, intensity and audience participation that was at a level far above all expectations. The DVD will be released worldwide through Demolition Records, our UK-based label, and we look forward to sharing this magical performance with all of you."

TWISTED SISTER's setlist for the August 1, 2004 show at the Astoria in London, England was as follows:

01. What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You)
02. The Kids Are Back
03. Under The Blade
04. Destroyer
05. Like A Knife In The Back
06. Burn In Hell
07. Ride To Live
08. Shoot 'Em Down
09. You Can't Stop Rock N' Roll
10. The Fire Still Burns
11. We're Not Gonna Take It
12. The Price
13. I Am, I'm Me
14. I Wanna Rock
15. Come Out and Play
16. S.M.F.

***  LITA FORD: 'Heavier Than Ever, Nastier Than Ever, More Sexual Than Ever'***

Jason Price of Live-Metal.net recently conducted an interview with '80s hard rock queen Lita Ford. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Live-Metal.net: You recently announced that you will be working on a new album for a 2009 release, what can you tell us about the project?

Lita: Heavier than ever, nastier than ever, more sexual than ever… Very personal lyrics — yeah me and Jim [husband Jim Gillette; ex-NITRO] are freaks! There will be no denying that when everyone hears the new songs!

Live-Metal.net: Would the new material be "Classic Lita" or more of a departure? Sonically, what can we expect?

Lita: Raunchy filth with a touch of class and a whole lotta ass!

Live-Metal.net: What do you hope that people come away with after listening to your music or seeing your live performance?

Lita: Listening to my music — I guess high on the list would be that chicks can rock a guitar! Also, with these songs I tried to show that you can be a mom, have a family, make dinner and still be a FREAK with your man when the kids go to sleep! Just because we're getting older and have real lives doesn't mean we have to get boring! Actually, we're getting freakier and freakier! When you hear the songs, you'll know what I'm talking about! The live show is all about forgetting everything and having fun. I want the audience to forget all their problems and responsibilities for an hour and just rock. Feel that intense energy that I did when I was 13. Hopefully I can cause the same kind of impact that my first concert had on me!

Live-Metal.net: Is their something that jumps out at you in your mind as the defining moment of your career?

Lita: A tidal wave coming at me and it's happening right now! Actually, I do kind of have something. Sometimes when I'm walking through an airport or having a bite to eat at a restaurant someone will come up to me and tell me how they started playing guitar because of me. Or a girl will start crying and tell me that my music really helped her through some rough times. I'm so glad to know that I've touched so many people's lives. It's a wonderful feeling to know you've helped people. People that you don't even know. I love that.
