Biography |

|
Emily was born in Raleigh North Carolina in 1968 to William and Barbara Procter. The two divroced in 1970. Emily attended East Carolina University where she studied journalism and dance because she "tried to get into the theater department, but it was full." After graduation, she worked as a weather girl in Greenville, NC. She soon moved to Loas Angeles, where her father paid for two years of acting lessons. She soon began receiving small parts in movies like Leaving Las Vegas and Jerry Maguire and in 2000 became a member of the West Wing cast as Associate White House Council Ainsley Hayes. |
