New Zork Closures for Weston Wines
More info This is the revolutionary new wine closure with the convenience of screw cap and the pop of a cork. We have just finished trials of this beautifully simple closure and we are so impressed that all our wines will now be sealed with the Zork. The entire range from $15 to $50 will be 'Zorked' with the black Zork. We are also trialing it for Port wine and 'spritzig' wines. As the wines are rolled out of the cellar we are going to remove the old natural corks in batches and replace them with the Zork. The closure has a tamper proof seal like the twist top and has some of the same features as old style cork. For instance, when it is pulled, a light popping sound may be heard. But it is also better for the wine than old style cork and the twist tops. The Zork breathes, whereas the twist top does not. And the Zork does not suffer from buckling off the screw thread under stacking loads. For small winemakers it is a revolution as the equipment needed to apply the Zork is cheap and easy to use, being almost failure proof. And for larger wineries with screw cap machines, the head is interchangeable. |  |
