NEWS FLASH

Friends For Lesbian and Gay Concerns . . .

...is an association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and non-gay Friends (Quakers) who seek spiritual community within the Religious Society of Friends. From this fellowship, we seek to know that of God within ourselves and others, and to express God's Truth in the Quaker and lesbian/gay/bisexual communities as it is made clear to us.

FLGC meets twice a year:

In the summer at the Friends General Conference gathering, which in 2000 will be in Rochester, NY; and
Each February over the Presidents' Day (US) weekend at varying locations. The 2000 Mid-Winter Gathering will be held at a Mount Madonna Center, south of San Francisco, California.

The Clerks of FLGC are Diane Pasta and Waren Wilson-Reiner.

The FLGC newsletter is published four times a year. The newsletter address is:

There is a great page for the Brethren/Mennonite Council for Lesbian and Gay Concerns.

There are Quaker Lesbian Conferences held each year on both the East Coast and the West Coast of the U.S. The West Coast QLC has no web presence to my knowledge. East Coast QLC does.
