G&M of Washington, DC will be hosting Convergence 2008 at the Marriott Crystal City Gateway hotel August 29, 2008 through September 1, 2008. Food, chubs, entertainment, chasers, pool parties, chubs, dancing, chasers, Chubs and Chasers contest, chubs, hospitality suite, chasers and Vendor's Hall will be available during this fabulous weekend. Oh, and did I mention chubs and chasers? We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary and plan on having a real party. Go to the Convergence website at Convergence 2008 for more information.

We had a great time at the July social. We celebrated summer with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw and tons of men. The next social will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008 beginning at 7pm. We don't have a location for the October social yet because nobody has offered to host it. We will update this website as soon as we know the location. If you would like directions to the social once we know where it will be email the club at G&M of Washington, DC. The fee structure for this social will be the usual:

• Members - $5.00
• Non-Members - $9.00
• First-time Guests - FREE

The other social scheduled for this year will be on December 31st as we celebrate New Year's at Jaybee's house in Bristow, VA. We don't have any locations for 2009, yet. If you would like to host a social email the club at G&M of Washington, DC.

The only requirements for hosting a social are that you have enough space for about 10 people in your home and that there be ample parking nearby or you are located within walking distance of a Metro station. We pay the host $100 for the use of his home. The socials usually begin at 7pm but the Board of Directors has a meeting at the host's home an hour before the social begins. We will come to your house and help you set up for the social and will help clean up afterward.

You don't have to be a member of the Club to come to the socials or to host a social. We welcome guests with open arms.
