King, Thomas Avants. Through the years beginning in 1934, 59 students joined our class. They came and left and when we graduated in 1945, there were only 19 of us left. Of those 19, only 6 of us had started together in the first grade. They are George Belser, Bobby Cooper, Doris Bennight, Mary Shannon, Earl Nelson and Belva Verban. Mary and Earl were together the longest having attended kindergarten in the old Methodist Church when we were 5 years old.
