Hello there! Here is an activity I have written for my PMLD class that I thought I'd share with the SLD forum gang. It comes in three parts:

Part One: A festive, interactive poem about a fake Santa stealing my Christmas decorations. This is a fully interactive poem with relevant sensory experiences between each two line verse. The poem works as a nice English lesson which suits the three part literacy hour approach. There's a list of props at the start of the poem.

Part Two: A switch-based cause and effect PowerPoint presentation based on the poem. The presentation ties in with each verse of the poem allowing the pupil get to build up a picture of what they hear.

Part Three: A switch based comprehension exercise to be used in Inclusive Technology's ChooseIt! Maker. One of my pupils uses a head switch to make decisions and this is great for him. Instructions for where to copy the various bits are included.
