I raise Purebred Nubian dairy goats. I also have some Americans & grades thrown in. My main interest is does for milk production. I will concentrate on breeding good milk producers with good attachments.
I also raise Pygmy goats for pets.
We have added some new critters to the farm! We now have Bossy, a Dexter cow & HowNow, a Belfair cow. A Belfair is a cross between a miniature Jersey & a Dexter. We were excited to add them to our farm & look forward to having calves & milking the cows.
I also have a llama named Oreo, 2 Suffolk sheep, 1 pot bellied pig named Sassy, chickens, guineas, rabbits, 2 dogs, & a handful of barn cats.
I also raise a few pigs to butcher every year, along with Cornish cross chickens for butchering. I hope to add some turkeys next year.
I am a stay at home mom. This allows me to spend time with my kids most of all, but also time to enjoy all the critters & work around the farm.
We work on being as self sufficient as we can. We raise a huge portion of our own food. I use the goat milk to make soap & of course ice cream & hopefully someday, cheese!!
