This book written by Richard F Heller and Rachael F Heller is aimed at all those carbohydrate addicts out there. As with all diet and health books it has to be put in its context. One size does not fit all. So before you implement all of the guidelines in this book make sure that you are a "carbohydrate addict". In the beginning of the book the Heller’s provide a scoring system that provide you with this information. After you finish this assessment you supposedly will know if you are a carbohydrate addict or not. The question that comes to mind is "what do you do if you are not a carbohydrate addict". The answer to that, is that this book does contain some useful hints that can be used by everyone. If you want to know the answer beforehand, just think of what you like to eat and when. If you love candy, bread and cakes and eat them at every opportunity you get, then you are probably a carbohydrate addict. The book comprises 12 easy to read chapters that takes you through the basic eating strategies aimed at helping you to reduce your food intake, cravings, and help you to loose weight. The book is well set out with many examples that make it easy for you to follow. It also includes many sample meals so that you can get started quickly.
If you suspect that you are addicted to carbohydrates ( constant craving for sweets, get hungry quickly, snacking on candy all the time) this book promises salvation. As with all plans and diets this book does not work for everyone and it's ultimately up to you to implement lifestyle changes.
