Amidst routine activity in a busy North Korean seaport, a highly explosive deal goes down between Chinese businessmen and the North Korean military. Spying on the transaction is Hart (MICHAEL BIEHN), tough control leader of the covert CIA special operations espionage team, watched on closed-circuit monitor by his partner Captain Victoria Elliot (KATHLEEN YORK). When the top brass sends crucial orders to turn the shady subjects into hard targets, Hart’s team is unprepared for a live ammo confrontation, and their impromptu sting goes awry as the North Koreans escape with three nuclear detonators under a hail of gunfire. Captain Elliot is pulled from the bungled CIA operation and placed in the first ever U.S. intergender military group for reconnaissance in the Demilitarized Zone - The Rangers. After weeks of severe and torturous training, the crack unit treks into no man’s land for their first Zone recon patrol. With navigation and communication useless due to enemy electromagnetic interference, the group strays over the border directly into a hostile North Korean military ambush. Hell breaks loose, and Captain Elliot must assume command and lead the group out of this deadly situation. Relying on highly specialized survival skills, the ragged group blasts and diverts the enemy to create an escape path. They stumble onto Hart’s special ops insert team, in for a second spy mission to take out North Korea’s first on-line nuclear power plant. But Hart’s team has been captured by the North Koreans and is about to be executed. Facing a no-win situation, the Rangers alone must risk their lives to rescue the doomed insert team and join forces to complete the top secret mission deep inside hostile enemy territory. |
