Bakas Elephant Tour is Located in bakas village, Klungkung Regency, Bali. The village is 30 kilometers, which is about one hour drive, from Denpasar. Besides that, it is strategically located where it is closed to other places of interests such as Besakih, Goa Lawah, Candi Dasa, Kintamani, Tampak Siring, Kehen, Ubud and Mas. It is a local businessman called I Nyoman Levi Suwetha, born in 1960 in Bakas Village, who established and finances the company. The company started its business with the operation of white water rafting in Melangit River. Then, it expanded its businesses to mountain cycling, village cycling, trip to villages and Makepung (bull-racing). Since November 1997, the company started to take care of its business permits to run its new business called Bakas. |

 Having met all requirements and the quarantine processes, the well-trained and certified elephants were transported to Bakas Elephant Safari area where they arrived exactly at 00.05 A.M. on May 5,2002. |
