The most challenging series of 2004 is going to begin on August 21 when India
take on Pakistan. In the 2nd encounter India will play against the World
Champions Australia. In the 3rd encounter Australia will take on Pakistan. And
at last the final encounter which is most probably India vs Australia. In 25
years of tri-nation one-day tournaments it will be only the second time these
three countries have faced off in a triangular tournament. In their previous
three-way encounter, the Carlton & United Series of 1999-2000, Australia won
nine straight matches.
The favourites to win Videocon Cup is Australia because there most
players
are all rounders. For Australia Adam Gilchrist is not playing because of the
birth of his second child. Brad Haddin will play instead of Gilchrist.And Brett
Lee the fastest bowler of Autralia is back.
