Detailed Description

Physical- Demer is a small man in stature. He seems to have stopped
growing at 15 Turns. He stands 5'10" tall, and is a mere 150lbs. A
wiry frame and slim build, he's easy to miss in a crowd and mistake
for a pole in an empty courtyard. The man has mousy-brown hair and
muddy blue eyes that reflect that color of his hair.

Emotional- he's strong emotionally, though constant criticism and
physical abuse from his Holder has taken its toll. Demer would like
to teach Onivas a lesson, but he's not sure how. Revenge isn't
something Demer is prone to, though he's not opposed to subversive
behavior either.

Brief History: Demer is the third and youngest child of a Steward
Father. Stewarding has been a tradition in his family for
generations. The eldest always stays in the Hold where his father
Stewarded and the rest are either married off to Stewards (in the
case of girls) or fostered to a Hold to become the Steward there.
Demer's past is a simple one, much like many of those on Pern. When
he was old enough he was fostered out to another Hold where he was
trained in that Hold's daily business. As he grew older, he took on
more and more tasks, slowly growing to run the small details of a
small Hold.
When Esker Hold was just beginning, Demer was one of the first to
hear about the available position. His father had been long-time
friends with then-to-be Lord Holder Onivas. They struck a bargain,
and Demer accompanied Onivas to the Southern continent where he was
to become the Steward of Esker Hold.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: Demer is very adept at disappearing
into a crowd. He would have made an excellent Harper if he had any
musical ability at all. He couldn't carry a tune in a bucket even if
he had help. Demer notices just about everything, and he's an honest
man. Turns of dodging blows from his Holder, he's quick and able to
slip out of the way quickly.

He has none, but he'd like a firelizard.
