The 2009 Art Show marks the 30th Anniversary of this prestigious annual event and I congratulate Lanmarc Consulting who have the honour of naming rites for this year's show.

We expect to receive entries of the usual high calibre, as in former years, mainly from artists located in South Australia but also with good support coming from Victoria and more recently entries from other states and overseas.

During its history the art show has raised many thousands of dollars in profit, which is then channelled back into the community to improve life at both local and international levels.

The Rotary Club will again be supported by the Sponsors, the City of Victor Harbor, and State and Local media, along with dedicated and hard working Rotarians and community volunteers and organisations.

To display the entries, the giant marquee will again be erected at the Warland Reserve, which is centrally located to the CBD; SA Whale Centre; Historic Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island; Information Centre; Encounter Coast Discovery Centre; Steam Ranger Cockle Train, and within easy access to Eating Places to suit all tastes.

As there will be many visitors to Victor Harbor during the January holiday period, I encourage you to include a visit to the art show as part of your holiday itinerary, where I am sure that you will find art works to suit all ages and tastes.
