Viaduct Trail Ultramarathon

100-Mile Run

August 8-9, 2009

Registration opens in December. Field limit: 30 runners
Start Time: 6:00 am

Entry Fee: $0

Course Information: Beginning beneath the Starrucca Viaduct in Northeast Pennsylvania, the course is a series of four 25-mile out-and-back laps on a section of unimproved rail trail. The elevation is gradual, and there are two dips where trestles used to be.

Runners should expect to be self-sufficient and bring their own food, drinks, and gear. Two drop bags are allowed: one to leave at the start/finish, and one that we'll drive to the 12.5-mile turnaround. Label each bag with your name and either Start/Finish or Turnaround.

Drinking water will be available at the end points and midway near mile 6.

There will be no cutoff times. Runners should attempt to finish in 30 hours (noon on the ninth).
