TOKAMAK KENNEL
Tokamak Kennel is the pride of  Victor & Patricia Hutter.  It was established in 1978 following acquistion of our first Siberian Husky. The kennel quickly grew into a team of racing Siberians.  It has evolved over the years and is now home to a mix of both purebred Siberian Huskies and crossed Alaskan Huskies that are primarily used as recreational sled dogs.

The kennel was originally situated in the Ottawa Valley.  In 1987 it was relocated to the Bruce Peninsula region in an area known locally as Bruce Pines.  The kennel presently lies within the Munici-pality of Kincardine and is located at the base of the Bruce Peninsula along the shoreline of Lake Huron.  Its location affords access to the many multi-use, all season recreational trails that exist in the Bruce & Grey Counties of southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Presently, the kennel consists of ...
-  3 Siberian Huskies (Nortik, Khaneak & Carmack) and -  4 Alaskan Huskies (Ryker, Kira, Yukon & Aisheak).

What's Happening Now
On May 31, 2009, the dogs completed the last training run of the 2008-2009 running season. Over the course of the previous 9 months the dogs logged almost 1700 km on snow and dryland.  The dogs will now kick back for a well deserved rest over the summer months of June, July and August.  We'll take them on daily free (unleashed) runs along the Lake Huron shoreline, and hopefully there will be a few cool days to permit some runs in harness using the wheeld rig.  Fall training will begin in earnest on September 01, 2009.
