BMO Financial Group launched the third-quarter earning season of the Canadian banking industry with disappointing results that included a 21 per cent decline in net income, higher provisions for bad loans and a share buyback plan.
The bank said its net income was $521 million, or 98 cents per share on a diluted basis compared american loans for foreign desent with profit of $660 million or $1.28 a share a year earlier.
