The Vermilion River Long Riders was organized in March of 1999 in cooperation with the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club in Streator, Illinois. We are an affiliate of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). See link below for additional information on SASS.
SASS membership is not required to participate in our shoots.
Match registration begins at 8:30 am; mandatory shooters safety meeting begins at 8:45 am and the five or six stage main match begins at 9:00 am. The Main Match will be followed by Cowboy Trap.
The cost of the Match is $10. Side Matches are $1 with a fifty-fifty pot. Cowboy Trap is $3. Postings will be made to the website so you'll know if you need extra ammunion.
Spectators are welcome but eye and ear protection are mandatory.
