| "Where Handfed Birds Are A Part Of The Family" Handfed birds are wonderful pets. As with any pet they require love, guidance, structure, and lots of patience. As pet owners we are responsible for the care and welfare of our pets. This includes health care, housing and nutrition. The purchase of a pet bird should not be an impulse buy, but should be a well thought out decision as to the type of bird that will best fit into your home environment. We can provide you with a wonderfully socialized pet bird. We strive to provide a quality hand raised and healthy baby. We encourage visitation, if possible, during the handfeeding process, as we feel this will help your baby during the transition period into your home. We provide a warranty and service after the sale. Please feel free to email us for availability of birds. References are furnished upon request. |

| A Few Do's and Don't in Bird Care! 1. Never purchase an unweaned baby bird unless you are an experienced handfeeder. 2. Do not place bird cage in a draft. 3. Do not place bird on a wet or damp perch. 4. Never hit or scream at the bird. This only excites the bird. 5. Birds must be handled daily. 6. Fresh food and water must be provided daily. 7. Set a bed time for your bird. 8. Cage must be cleaned weekly. And water and food bowls cleaned daily. 9. We recommend you have your baby vet checked immediately upon purchase. Most reputable breeders will give you 72 hrs to have the baby vet checked. If they will not, ask why!! 10. If you must change the brand of food you are feeding your bird, this should be gradually. 11. A few of the foods that we do not give birds are: chocolate, apple seeds, peach pits, avocados, tea, coffee, soda's(coca cola, pepsi ect), egg plant. 12. All birds should be fed a varied diet which should include the following: Pellets, seed, fruits and veggies. 13. READ, READ, READ, as much as you can. 14. Your VET is your birds best friend ( next to you). I can not stress strongly enough how important it is to have a good vet for your bird. |
