Moving On

It's been literally years since I last updated this site. I'm 100% guilty for the negligence. The enthusiasm is certainly unlike before.

However, there's good news. Something better has taken birth: WikiVinaya, started by Dhammajoti Bhikkhu, a Dutch monk. I believe that the wiki is a better to way to maintain a site of this subject matter, as it does not depend on a single person. So, I've happily given him permission to take all my works here to be placed there, and let eVinaya die a natural death.

Ten Aims of Vinaya Rules

In that case, bhikkhus, I will formulate a training rule for the bhikkhus with ten aims in mind:
  • the excellence of the Community,
  • the peace of the Community,
  • the curbing of the shameless,
  • the comfort of well-behaved bhikkhus,
  • the restraint of effluents (asava) related to the present life,
  • the prevention of effluents (asava) related to the next life,
  • the arousing of faith in the faithless,
  • the increase of the faithful,
  • the establishment of the true Dhamma,
  • and the fostering of discipline.
