Moving On

It's been literally years since I last updated this site. I'm 100% guilty for the negligence. The enthusiasm is certainly unlike before.

However, there's good news. Something better has taken birth: WikiVinaya, started by Dhammajoti Bhikkhu, a Dutch monk. I believe that the wiki is a better to way to maintain a site of this subject matter, as it does not depend on a single person. So, I've happily given him permission to take all my works here to be placed there, and let eVinaya die a natural death.

Ten Aims of Vinaya Rules

In that case, bhikkhus, I will formulate a training rule for the bhikkhus with ten aims in mind:

the excellence of the Community,
the peace of the Community,
the curbing of the shameless,
the comfort of well-behaved bhikkhus,
the restraint of effluents (asava) related to the present life,
the prevention of effluents (asava) related to the next life,
the arousing of faith in the faithless,
the increase of the faithful,
the establishment of the true Dhamma,
and the fostering of discipline.
