As a group of men
of Asian descent,
who identify ourselves as
either Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Questioning,
or MSM (Men who have Sex with Men),
and their allies,
it is our mission
to provide mutual support and
cultivate friendship with each other,
to create a safe and nurturing environment,
to promote
Personal Growth,
Community Involvement,
Cultural Awareness & Appreciation,
Education in HIV & AIDS Prevention, and
Self-reliance in Personal Health.

Silk & Spice: monthly gathering for Asians and friends at Celebrities

Originaly, we used the title "Very Asian / VariAsian", but soon shortened it to just "VariAsian".
It signifies how inescapably "Asian" we are in our essence and identity as a visible minority and also how diverse and full of "variation" Asians are.
