The 1st St Athan Scout Group is part of the Vale District Scouts, one of eight districts within the Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Area of the UK Scout Association. The 1st St Athan Scout Group has been running since 1948 (see our 50th Anniversary badge). St Athan village is in the Vale of Glamorgan approximately 15 miles west of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.

 

The Scout Group is based in the East Camp Scout Hut, RAF St Athan. Currently we have one Beaver Scout Colony, two Cub Scout Packs and a Scout Troop. We are a single-sex Group, only admitting boys.

Meets on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8pm in the Scout Hut. We currently have a waiting list.
Swallow Cub Scout Pack (ages 8 - 10½)
CSL: Andy Moinet
Meets on Mondays from 6.30pm to 7.45pm in the Scout Hut.
Woodpecker Cub Scout Pack (ages 8 - 10½)
CSL: Lillian Barrat
Meets on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8pm in the West Camp Community Centre.
Scout Troop (ages 10½ - 15)
SL: Colin Williams
Meets on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm in the New Scout Hut.
