| The Madison Männerchor won the 2009 Wisconsin Sängerbezirk Kommers, held Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Under the direction of John Mysliwiec, we finished first among eight choirs. The winning selections were "Herr, gib ihnen die ewige Ruhe" and "Auf der Lüneburger Heide". Our first selection held special meaning, as it was a song brought to us from Germany from our recently-deceased Ehren President, Willy Brendel. |
